Cesar Millan , the world-renowned dog behavior specialist and co-creator and star of the popular television show "Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan” joined us for a trip to the beautiful Tortuga Island. About Quepos, Costa Rica

QueposQuepos has a new marina. Marina Pez Vela is open in limited operation. Access to loading and unloading is excellent. The proximity to the Foruno banks, which everyone knows is the most famous fishing grounds in Costa Rica (about an hour away in a good boat).  The key with the Quepos marina is that is located next to Manuel Antonio which offers budget hotels to luxury cliff side estates. There are private homes, many hotels, and just a lot of options for lodging. Inshore in Quepos there is some rooster fishing and some snook fishing in the spring. Fishing out of Quepos, you will find yourself fishing with boats from Los Suenos. The reason to choose Quepos over Los Suenos is the quicker run to the Foruno banks and the multitude of lodging opportunities. It is slightly less expensive to fish in Quepos due to the lower cost of moorage.  You can fly directly into Quepos with Nature Air or Sansa Airlines.

Well April has passed in Quepos Costa Rica and to be honest in the fishing capital of Costa Rica it's been rough for our fleet of boats. We are experiencing "RED TIDE". Basically it means the fishing sucks. When Mother Nature gets done messing around. Our fishing will return back to the world famous seas we all know and love. Also in Quepos the 1st annual Quepos Billfish Cup was held out of the Pez vela marina. We had boats from all over the country coming to fish. Sorry for the short report. Next month we have a lot going on in the fishing community .Again remember to catch and release for the future generations to come!
